In November 2011 the Female Interaction concept movies were released. They portray new product concepts incorporated in female user scenarios.
Making concept movies is one of the methods evaluated as part of the design process. To interaction designer Stine Vilhelmsen, design-people, moving images provide a vibrant visualization of the research based guidelines for female innovation. While these guidelines are not up for modulation, inventing the plot is.
“Unfolding user scenarios in movies instead of sketches or dialogue forces us to consider the slightest details embedded in context but not in the product. Like: Is she likely to move to the other end of the kitchen table keeping a certain item in her hand, or will she put it down also dismissing it in her mind?”
Concept movies are both a communication and a development tool. They are part of the collection of Female Interaction methods that will be presented in the upcoming tool box.
